Welcome to the Department of Automotive & Marine Engineering

Department Overview

NED University in its continuous endeavor to enrich Pakistan with talented and able Engineers has now broadened its spectrum and is now offering B.E. Mechanical (Specialization in Automotive) discipline for which it has developed the Automotive Engineering Department.

In the world trade, mechanical, automotive and allied industries are the largest investors. At present, about one million persons are employed directly and indirectly in this industry. This kind of growth and promise for employment requires better, more skilled and trained manpower. The objective of establishing Automotive Engineering Department is to produce mechanical engineers with specialization in automotive engineering by imparting theoretical and practical knowledge based on designed curriculum in B.E. Mechanical (Specialization in Automotive) and to serve growing mechanical, automotive and allied industries.

The Department of Automotive Engineering was established in the October 2005 and the academic session for the Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive started in January 2006 with the Initial intake of 35 students.

The Masters program with specialty in Automotive Manufacturing started in 2009.
